Stepped-care model is a best practice that focuses on independence versus dependence for the client. Staff will focus on providing an intensive level of support to achieve goals in a timelier manner. Will match the level of need with the level of support a client needs based on his/her diagnosis. Other benefits include reduced wait times, better outcomes, rapid access, equity and a more clinical approach, and development of wellness plans.
