Organization: Canadian Mental Health Association - Windsor-Essex County Branch
Description of Services: To provide supportive housing for individuals who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless and who have a mental illness requiring supports to build independent living skills necessary to maintain housing. The program works with private market landlords in the community acting in a liaison capacity to assist with providing access to modest safe, affordable and stable housing for consumers who require  community support services. This program provides:
  • Supportive housing provider with rent subsidy
  • Community based private market housing
  • Search for private market safe, affordable and stable housing
  • Landlord/tenant resolution and tenancy support
  • Supports to build independent living skills and maintain housing in the community

Eligibility - Population(s) Served: People 16 years and older who are homeless, with a mental illness and require community mental health supports to maintain stable housing
