Description of Services: |
The Diabetes Clinic serves patients in all of Windsor and Essex County. The Nutrition and Endocrinology Clinic provides diabetes education, medical nutrition therapy and pattern management counselling to adults with: Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, Impaired Glucose Tolerance and Gestational Diabetes and hypercholesterolemia. Physician referral is required for medical nutrition therapy and pattern management counseling. The team in the diabetes clinic includes: - Diabetes nurse educators - Registered dietitians - Endocrinologists - Physicians Outpatient services available: Medical nutrition therapy - Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Gestational diabetes counselling - Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. (physician referral required) Inpatient Services available: Medical nutrition therapy - Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Diabetes education - Monday- Friday times vary |
